People360, in support of Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC)’s mission to inform the public on labor standards and OSH practices, held an Orientation on RA 11058 and DOLE DO 198-18. The orientation is given by no less than the Director of BWC, Dir. Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco M.D., CESO III. Dir. Cucueco gave an extensive 3-hour orientation on the coverage of the Act, among which are: Duties and rights of employers and workers, Workplace classification based on risks, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs, OSH personnel complement, Safety and Health training requirements, Workers welfare facilities, Joint and Solidarity liability, Incentives, Inter-Government Coordination and Cooperation, Penalties for Violations and Enforcement and Effectivity.
Dir. Cucueco graciously answered all queries, issues and concerns of the participants, mostly safety officers, managers, site managers from different industries, who are all so pleased and appreciative of the orientation organized by People360. The first of a series of RA 11058 orientations to be given by People360 for its valuable clients, it truly is a productive and fruitful afternoon for everyone which, after all, is what People360 aims to achieve; a better knowledge of the new law and the conscious practice of safety of the worker and the public.
